What happened to Sitepoint?

I've been out of the loop for a while. Besides DigitalPoint, I used to check out Sitepoint for cool sites for sale. Looking at it now, it seems to have gone way down hill regarding real site listings. What happened?

For complete website packages, go to flippa.com, i dont know if they are a partner company, or one in the same, it is now flippa.com for the complete website packages and sitepoint for the rest......

Yes ,, I agree. Been around for 3 to 4 years at most forum sites and 6 months ago was last time I entered my account at SP. It is sad to see. They used to be one of the top sites.

I never really liked sitepoint that much for selling domains and sites. DP and SEDO have always been pretty good as an alternative. However, many have said SP is good.

Flippa (Formerly SitePoint MarketPlace) is good if you want to purchase sites in higher range.

SP's marketplace changed to Flippa so they can increase their fee structure. They are now raping the users with un-necessary fees that serve no purpose but to add extra dough in their pocket.

An alternative to this crap is needed!

The quality of sites on Flippa is really poor - I wish they never got rid of the original marketplace

There is very fast submission of new ads, once your ads in flippa go inside pages you will get hardly any views.

You'll be surprised you can sell the SAME site at sitepoint (now flippa) for twice the price you usually sell at digitalpoint. It's always like that for me. But i still prefer sitepoint marketplace as opposed to Flippa. That's the place i first sold a website.

Flippa can help you to earn more when you want to sell your site, but the fees is seriously annoying. I still prefer sitepoint

Yes, Flippa is the way to go, although it is still hard to find many sites for sale there, in my opinion. Digital Point is still the best place, although it takes more work to find a site that fits your needs.

I remember a year or two ago, Sitepoint was one of the most active communities for webmasters. What have I missed? Am I missing something or is Sitepoint less active than it was before?

I have sold about $120,000 in sites on Flippa in the last 2 months. It is by far the best sales marketplace out there! Selling on DP is like walking through a minefield full of scammers, no way will I try selling here.

They have changes to Flippa.com and it's a pretty good place to sell your websites.

Even though you may more at Flippa, I think the prices people get for their websites are really good. I tried to sell a news website few days ago; got offered $2000. Not bad I think.

Yeah. I think sitepoint (the site sales part) is moved to flippa.com. I have not done business on flippa.com though - all those sites there seem so expensive! Way beyond my budget!
