What happened to SearchMash.com?

    I was reading an SEO book that I have that mentions the website SearchMash.com which is owned by Google. I checked the url and it says "SearchMash has gone the way of the dinosaur". What the heck was SearchMash.com and why did Google shut it down?

    In my opinion, I think Google have done testing all the new changes and they don't need it any more for now ;)
