I used to go to the Sam Spade website quite often to check the whois information of domains, etc. However, over the years it went from being down for maintenance, to up in a deprecated form, to down, to back up with no functionality, to the lame page it is today. Anybody know the story behind this site? I found it to be quite useful. Why would a webmaster take down a site that was working--basically self-destruct??
