Overture hasn't been relevant for over a year now. Let it go into the deep dark night called the abyss.

Yeah. but no need to worry cause there are more reliable suggestion tool.
I prefer keywordsugestion and keyworddiscovery, hope that helps.

Also www.seobook.com has many great tools for KW search. Especially their free keyword tool which shows daily searches from all SE's

Overture is no longer in uptodating their data regularly. Maybe you need to become paid Yahoo Search Marketing member for the freshly data.

Also be careful of free tools that still pull data from overture. Overture's data is from january 2007!

Wow, I sure wish the price of gas had stayed the same. It was two dollars then!

We use the paid keyworddiscovery solution at my company - and in a pinch, if one of my team is using it (logged in) and I have to use it, I use the free version! But I like the paid version because we can keep individual site's info in project folders, generate reports of all kinds, and it's the closest I've come to having what used to be the great Overture solution.

Just as a side note, my team is responsible for some massive client SEO and PPC initiatives (upwards of $500k a year) so we get preferred service treatment from Google and Yahoo - rep teams working on our behalf at both... and the latest word is that Yahoo will be coming out with a replacement for the Overture tool soon. It won't ever be the same, but the claim is it's going to be helpful for sure (or so they claim in desperate need to try and stay relevant I suppose!)...

All I know is that I used to thrive with the Overture tool.

The Google tool and any tool that doesn't give me numbers of searches (as accurate or inaccurate as any tool is with numbers) is worthless to me for all but a handful of clients.

    You mean Dan, right? ;)

Anyway, WordTracker, Google's Keyword External tool (https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal) and Google Trends (http://www.google.com/trends/) will take care of your keyword research for you. :)
