I have been keeping up with the Google news the last 3 or 4 months, but my directory which had inner pages showing PR, now mostly has inner pages with no PR. What happened? Has this happened to other directory owners? How did you get PR to your inner pages, deep linking? I really think people have been seeing the inner page PR and instead of submitting their site, they go to another directory. Thanks for the info in advanced.
Perhaps PR dropped on some external pages that were deep linking to you? Did you recently restructure your directory or increase the number of pages linked to, from the homepage? Did your homepage PR drop? These are just some ways your PR can drop. Build links from high PR websites and your PR will increase. Remember though, PR isn't the be all and end all.....
My home page PR didn't drop at all. That's what confuses me. I think PR is important for directories. I was getting a lot more people submitting links until I started having this PR issue.
the submission is not as much related to your inner page PR (IMO). Directory submissions have been lower lately in general... for one thing Google update is not done yet...
