We've worked at help desks at large hosting companies. The truth is that there just is not enough Linux/PHP/DNS talented people out there that want to work for low hourly wages and talk to people on shared accounts. Every web host can be very good ... until they get too big. Then it's time to migrate your sites back down to somebody smaller, or obtain your own cPanel dedicated or VPS server.
This is what usually happen with the companies that were bought by EIG. They did buy around 50+ companies so far and all of them are just a brand name to the EIG company. When people start to get tired of bad support or bad services from one of they'r brand they are using they usually move to another and the thing is that they usually go with another EIG brand name and it will happen again. The first brands that were bought by EIG are known as a pretty bad ones now and the new ones will get there in due time.
If you are using service from Hostgator.in then i would say it is not of good quality. I have my account with both .com and .in and I would say hostgator.com is what I would opt for anytime. Cheers
Its really sad actually, I have been a customer with them for 7 years now and support is just getting worse. Read this, http://jhosts.com/behind-the-fall-what-is-driving-users-away-from-hostgator/
