Hi Folks, I am Kristy. I have been writing articles and blogs for off-shore clients since 5-6 years. My business is/was going steady until March 2012. However, due to competition, now I have not been getting as many job as before. Also, I can see many writers have now popped up here offering their writing work at peanuts price. I am not really sure about the kind of quality they deliver (no offense), however the rates quoted are really bad. Also, are there options for me to find regular/consistent content writing business? Any good freelancing websites? Your advise would be highly appreciated. Thank you. Kristy
Maybe people have been put off by the fact that you pretend to be in the US when you are actually in India?
you said it correctly, competition. Chances are your competition has undercut you and took your business
Here is the thing. Website owners can be very creative. I have blog that anyone can submit an article too. The article may be accepted or rejected based on quality. If accepted, the author gets to place 2 adsense ads on the article for a 1 year period. The website owner pays nothing out of pocket. The author has the potential to be paid for his/her article many more times over than the cost of writing the article if the article gets a lot of views and clicks.
People don't want to pay for broken English any more. The search engines don't like it, the customers don't trust it and it makes a company look bad. I can only recommend that the OP brushes up on her English writing.
Well, google has made changes in their algorithms, as a result webmasters are forced to change if they want to remain in the serps.
Yes, perfect English is now a necessity. No auto-generated content. Even manual content with poor English is bad as well...
You can get many beautiful offers but you have to be conscious about payment. I think odesk will help you.
Because of the recent Panda changes, site owners are now weary of getting top-notch content and not just KW stuffed pieces. But, in your case, i believe you need to expand your client base and pitch as many as possible. I hope this helps. Thanks
