Hi guys, I need know if PR dropped has caused your blog traffic reduce or your blog income also drop? Any ideas on this or maybe you had any experienced on this before?
My website dropped from pr4 to pr3 but my traffic has not changed. Page rank is not directly related to traffic.
No. PR has no direct connection to traffic. You need to focus on your SERP than in PR. Gather more quality backlinks for your site in order to have a better SERP ranking.
Yeah mine dropped from a PR4 to PR3 and then right back within a week. Dont know what happened in my situation either but again like others stated my traffic did not change.
Keep in mind that Google periodically recalibrates the PageRank scale so that a single point drop at any time may not mean the true PageRank value may be unchanged. Further, Google has been reducing the PageRank scores of many pages for various reasons and if the PageRank of your site's main page was a weak PR4, it wouldn't take much to move it down to a PR3.
Raiborick: I do not understand why PR4 go down to Zero and vice versa... One of my friend doesn't even has lots of good backlinks and yet she still got PR4? why?
Pagerank is a measure of link popularity, meaning, it measures both the quantity and quality of the links pointing to your site. if you got lots of links from a link farm, for example, and google discovered it, it would nullify those links and you would consequently experience a PR drop. also, if existing high quality links were deleted, it would again cause a drop in PR. a drop in PR would cause your google SERP rankings to slowly drop in the long run. you wouldnt notice it at first, but over a course of a few months your low PR site would slowly drop down the ranking pages. this is because google would view your site as less competitive or authoritative for your keywords.
PR will only affects the eyes of the sites wanting to link with you...if you got a high value of PR, more sites are likely to get a link from you, and the opposite will happen if you got low value...
I don't think that's entirely accurate. My site has a rubbish PR considering the traffic (5k daily) and the fact it places 2nd (behind Wiki) for the main keyword for my site http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=pr...s=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a. It has been in the same position for a year now and indeed has occasionally over-taken Wiki at the top spot, especially around the time the game was released.
pr has nothing to do with the traffic or your site rankings. So even if your site pr increases or decreases it wont make any difference,
