Hi, I have over 50 similar domains, can some one help me and can suggest me, if I redirect those 50 to one domain, will it be ok as a SEO prospective? Thanks in advance
Well, according to me you can add links each other and make your one corporate website and use you other website to promote your main website I'll not recommend you to redirect your websites on your new one.
Dear Aryans, that is the reason why I am so confuse, I just want to know the real facts, what will happen?
Most probably your new site will be banned from Google and out of SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages).
I redirect more than 50 to a domain sales/landing site and it's never been penalized yet. I have done it for a few years on several different websites over that time with nothing negative seen happen yet. That's not to say they won't, but I think it depends on what you are doing exactly. I have domains that I have for sale leading to one landing website with buying info as well as contact info.
You will probably get a HUGE increase in rankings. start building some automated backlinks to those 50 domains and you will probably get some insane profits for a short period of time....not really a long term strategy but who knows... only way is to try it out and see.
You will either jump rankings ridiculously, then crash eventually (sometimes takes years serious, most often weeks though). Or you'll just drop out the SERPS. Try it.
You will NEVER be penalized for redirecting... Unless some of websites are SPAMMY or already are blacklisted by Google (or other SE's!). If you are sure that the websites are SAFE and with a good authority, you shouldn't be afraid of do a 301 redirection!
I think, it totally depends on your quality work. If you are following all Google's quality guidelines strictly, then easily you can increase your website ranking and traffic.
"Hi, I have over 50 similar domains, can some one help me and can suggest me, if I redirect those 50 to one domain, will it be ok as a SEO prospective?" Well... that really depends. 1. There has never been a website on any of those domains - nothing happens. 2. Bad, spammy websites have been on those domains - you'll see a negative effect. 3. Good quality websites were based on those domains - you'll see a positive effect. Points 2 and 3 are on a sliding scale, the more spammy the worse the effects, while the better the quality (relevancy of historical websites being a factor) the more noticeable the positive effect. If you've simply registered 50 domains and point them to your main website, I'm guessing point one will be the result.
