So I always find it hard to ask for help, but I am to the point where I have done something wrong and can not figure it out. So hopefully someone can get me back on track. My website stats: (First link in my signature: Beginners Guide to Investing) Pages: 220 PR: 2 Age: 9 months old My issue is about at the 6 month mark it seemed like my site was really taking off. I was getting between 150-200 uniques a day. I was making about one affiliate sale every other day or so and things were looking good. This lasted about 2 months. Then about a month ago it was liked a rugged was pulled out from underneath my site. Affiliates sales starting dropping to nothing. As I looked into it Google took all of my pages out of the main index and shoved them into the supplemental index. At the peak I had close to around 40 pages in the main index now I have only about 11 according to: www.mapelli.info Which of course explains the huge drop in sales and traffic. I have built it back up to about 100 uniques, but that is because I am writing a ton of articles. Still nothing though all of my pages remain in the supplemental index. Now I know I am in a competitive niche, but it still seems odd that my pages came out of the supplemental index for about 2 months and then they were dumped back in. Ugh! Also Google did have all 220 pages at least index, but that has now dropped to around 160 as well from 220. I have run out of ideas why? Can someone find something major I could have done wrong to get on Google's bad side? I do not spam anywhere, but it makes me wonder if a competitor is playing games with me and reporting my site to Google or something making things up to hurt my rankings? Does this kind of thing happen? I have a pretty basic promotion methods mainly with article marketing, yahoo answers, RSS, and free directories. It was working well until the last month. The only duplicate content I have is 4 articles posted a long time ago when I first started the site, and some basic investing definition pages. So I have at least 190 pages that are all original content. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I show 195 pages indexed by Google, I show only 6 backlinks provided by google link: syntax. Copyscape shows no other sites with your content. Its hard to say why this might of happened. Did you try contact google yet?
