Checked my cj account, and the balance was a lot higher, it appears they added up all my commission for the last month and added it to the balance, is this what happens every month? This is my first month, and I was shocked to see a huge jump in my balance. THanks
I have had the same "issue". In my case it is the insentive that the advertiser added to my balance because I did really well last month. Click on the Transaction Report then on the total of your new balance (locked) and you will see that on a certain day (in my case it was the 12th of this month) a huge chunk was added.
I believe the origional poster is commenting regarding an ongoing issue with Commission Junction. As balances are calculated, your balance may jump up or down and may double. This does not accurately reflect commissions and while this may appear like a bonus, your balance will be adjusted and no extra money will be paid. If you are paid a specific bonus by an advertiser, you will be paid in that case. However, if CJ stats inacurately report your balance as having doubled; you won't be paid this extra amount. This issue is ongoing, unprofessional and extremely annoying. I've literally felt my heart jump only to realize this is that same ongoing issue that CJ has; balances double monthly! As the top affiliate network in my opinion, you'd think this issue would have been fixed in short order!
This happened to me once and I thought I'd made a lot of money only to find the next day that it had all disappeared. It is very disappointing.
You will see this issue around 12th - 17th day of the month. Actually, this is not an issues. As you all already know, most of advertiser will lock your commission on 10th of the month unless it extended. Around 11th - 18th your "locked commission" will moving around between "current balance" and "publisher payment" and so on. Their move is so slow then you might see moving up and down, even doubled in your balance but you have nothing to worry about. Sometime you may see your balance doubled. That happened because your "locked commissions" is moving to "current balance" but your earning in "pending commissions" still show the old balance which isn't updated yet. You have to give them more 30 minutes to 2 hour (even days) and you will see your "pending commissions" has been corrected and show your true current balance. At this stage, all your commissions would have been transfered to "Commission" and preparing to pay publishers as "Publisher Payments" on 20th of the month.
Thanks everyone, its back to normal now. But it happened exactly as you had described, It certainly was a shock to see my earning almost double.
