    I think very few people are now using myspace. But it is not almost dead. It is still working.

    It seems that myspace is trying to make a comeback now. I think they are still good for music and music promotion but no one uses it as a social network now. I remember when everyone at my school had a myspace but now they just use facebook only. I also remember xanga. That place is really dead.

    You only need facebook and twitter now. Pinterest is growing too.

    Myspace Video is still very popular. They are strict on quality guidelines but if you can get a unique video on there you can get some good traffic back to your website or build buzz around your brand

    Myspace used to be pretty good, by they were always based mainly around music, and to this day are mostly band based. It's nearly worthless now to be honest, and certainly isn't worth using for link building, or advertising or what have you.

    They still do have lots of traffic, and they can give you very powerful backlinks. So it's foolish to abandon myspace :)
    But yeah, seems that it's more music-band oriented than it was before.
