Probably all of us IM:ers have taken at least one, but more likely several "guru courses" ... I was thinking we could share which guru we appreciate the most. Who has given you the most value? And who´s advice have you actually taken action on? This is an interesting question since there is an overflow of courses out there that promise you the stairway to heaven. So share with the rest of us your experiences, what worked, what did´nt. Pat
Matt Cutts is an obvious one, gives answers to lots of common questions and is straight from Google. I follow Glen Allsopp for lots of creative ideas and basic how-to strategies. Lisa Barone is another one who writes tons of quality content over at Outspoken Media and is among my favorites.
Online, I like to read through the blog of Matt Cutts from time to time. Offline, I like to read backpacker magazine, field and stream, outdoor life, and non-fiction history books. The offline reading material gives me ideas on what to write on my blog about, and "how" to write it. I really like the writing style of the authors of field and stream and outdoor life magazines. Its like they can pull you into the article, and make you feel as if you were there.
Have to agree with that. Most advice from so called "gurus" is similar to what 90% of the other "gurus" are saying. I doesn't really matter where or from who you learn from, as long as you apply the stuff and take action!
Yeah, lots of rehashed stuff in circulation. And the really good stuff never hits the surface ... So i have discovered. I stumbled upon what is, at least for me, the absolute best way to make money. And there are no material on the subject, well at least not in the specific way that I am implementing it any way. Pat
