Photoshop? Gimp? Other? Why? I use photoshop because it is more professional than gimp and other programs. I can buy program when it is good, photoshop is very good. Many functions, effects and more and more.
I also use Photoshop. But if people don't want to spend much money on graphic program, GIMP is worth a try.
Photoshop of course I actually use Photoshop CS3 Lite I've tried Gimp and PaintShop Pro, but, I've had most success with using photoshop (as in i can use it )
It depends on what I need to do. For non-print graphics or simple textures I can use GIMP and accomplish everything I need to do with minimal difficulty, and I can do it all for free and legally. With Photoshop I maybe use 15-20% of the total power that is available there, with GIMP I probably use closer to 40% of all the tools and techniques available. PS is great, but pricy and more powerful than I need. GIMP fits well for my work.
Adobe Photoshop Adobe Illustrator Corel Draw I use photoshop the most and illustrator when I am doing vector creations. Corel draw I use occasionally, still worth a try and it does work well. Reason I use them is because they actually are easy to get working unlike gimp lol.
