Hi guys, I've seen more and more ppl making or buying automated sites (blogs). Can anyone tell me what google think about this kinda sites? Are they gonna ignore them and put them in the supplemental or even don't bother to index? But how about those news sites? They also just grabbing other sites content, don't they? Any comment on this? Thanks
I would have thought that Google would frown on this, since it's essentially duplicate content. So they would probably take the same line as with dupe pages: they don't want it in their index, but they won't ban or penalise sites for having it. The only question is, how can Google possibly detect when a site is 100% built automatically?
I thought so too. But what about newsreader. What about digg for example? Digg story is also a duplicate page?
they are working for 1-6 months but then google remove them from the index soon. this was my experience with them
Exactly, Digg adds value. The description of the story doesn't have to be the same text as there is on the website in question, there are often a lot of comments, and there's also the extra information such as the number of Diggs. It's collaborative, not automated.
Thanks for all the replies guys. So I guess automated sites are useless unless we rewrite the top stories from other sites? Well, I just thought it would be great to build a blog, get some great feeds from other sites, running a cronjob, sit back and relax, let the money grows. LOL, too good too be truee isn't it
Don't use automated stuff, your site will suffer in Google. Trust me. Always use original content. If you are really want to use duplicated stuff, limit it to a minimum.
