Could I get the basic factors that go into an appraisal of a domain name? I know that the sites that offer appraisals are mostly elevated junk. Thanks in advance.

+ Being a generic or a dictionary word in any language (especially important words).
    + Being brandable.
    + Being easy to remember.
    + Domain's age.
    + Pagerank.
+ Traffic and Alexa rank (and other ranks).
    + Backlinks.
    + Indexed pages.
    + Length.
+ Containing keywords in it and search amounts, google results and popularity of those keywords. How much an ad system pays for those keywords per click?
    + Any possible endusers.
+ Is it infringing a trademark, if so, any possible thing that we can use as defense in case of a lawsuit.
+ Registrar. Generally domain investors won't buy your domain name if it is at an expensive, unpopular or a problematic company.
+ Company must have a push (account change) function. Otherwise there will be transfer fees.
+ And of course the extension. Com is generally better than other extensions.

That's as good a definition of domain name appraising as I've yet seen. Couldn't add anything more to it.
