    Hi,

If you had a banner ad running, and you could control the rate at which it was displayed on a site how fast would you let it run?

Let's say the site the ad was on averaged 10 impressions per unique visitor. Would you rather run you ad at full steam ahead getting it displayed 9 out of 10 page views or would you try to slow it down so it is viewed by more unique visitors?

    Any experience in this?

Well if you want, all you need to do is post a big ad on the front page. Then just have a small letters say enter here, then lead to your website.

I don't think I made myself clear. How about this for example...

I buy 10 million banner impressions from a website, lets say yahoo, to advertise my site.

Yahoo in turns says thanks for the order...do you want your banners to be displayed over the next 10 million pages we delilver or do you want it spread out over the next 100 million pages we deliver. If you pick the first method an estimated 1 million people will see your ad about 10 times, and if you pick the second way an estimated 10 million people will see you ad just once.

Which way do you think will produce the best results.

Depends if you are trying to build brand recognition or if you only care about clicks.
If you care about clicks, spread it out if you want people to remember your brand bombard them as often as you can.
