Ive been using VBulletin for about 5 years now, I have tried the other forum scripts mentioned here but so far Vb has the best Modding community around always a developer around to take on projects.

past tense.. WAS. Too many issues related to security and lack of decent support. Not to mention the support forums are not friendly at all. I am switching my mybb forum to IPB which is what i use on my other site. Never had any issues with them unlike mybb. As for free my suggestion would be smf. It has a plugin system as well and all plugins mods are free as well ( unlike mybb ) and very decent quality. Not to mention a much friendlier support team. PHPBB is working on doing the same as well and thus making huge improvements.

I personally like VBulletin, I've found it pays to learn one type of forum software well since you are continually tweeking the config/mods to improve the forum

You're just angry cause you were being a jerk to everybody and got banned. You were a big cause of this 'unfriendly support forum'.

MyBB has no known security exploints, and has very fast and decent support. MyBB has free and paid plugins, and it's the author's choice. It has a great hook system too, so it's easy to make your own.

The last forum software I used was vBulletin.

I've also worked with most forum software.

I use phpbb but I think I will switch to vBulleting because it is highly customizable and it is much easier to add new functionality and features to it than with any other forum software.

4 Vbulletin forums, 3 Xenforo forums. The trend for me is to move towards XF, am really impressed with it.
