Hoping to get some advice from Clickbank vendors/publishers...

Once you've done the research for a new ebook to sell on Clickbank, do you get the ebook written first or the sales letter... or both at the same time?

Which way is more effective and why?

i would say start doing both. You need to draft what you going to sell (what is your ebook about) and how (what are unique selling points for your letter)

Personally, I'd outline what you think you have to say in your ebook, but write the sales letter first. Do what it takes to make a compelling sell, which may mean in the process you realize that your ebook needs to be a little different than you envisioned. Good luck!

The sales letter ... the ebook has to deliver what the sales letter promises, so once you've got the ebook then you can use the sales letter as a ticklist as you read through your ebook, to ensure it does what the sales letter says.... it will enable you to spot things you forgot to include, will help you keep the ebook focussed and will let you spot anything in the ebook that wandered off at a tangent.

The sales letter will also act as your outline for writing the book yourself or getting it written.

You don't want to be writing an ebook THEN seeing what it says and trying to construct a sales letter round it.

I'd do the eBook first. How can you write a sales letter about something that hasn't been developed?
