what features Wordpress.com has that Blogspot.com doesn't

I am just curious to know. I hear some bloggers saying that wordpress.com is better than blogspot.com . I dont know why . For me blogger blogs are better because they offer monetization and also they are coming up with new things in draft.blogger.com .
Whenever I ask any one why wordpress.com blogs are better I get a vague answer that they are better at seo .

    hmmmm.

Can anybody please shed some light on this ?

Complete multyple author management& post Tag...that blogger doesn't have.

    - Over all, blogger better than wp.com.
    - For security reason, blogger better than wp.org.
    - for integrated features, blogger more than wp.org.

    - for SEO, blogger better than wordpress.org (of course without plugin).

Without plugin, WP not more than just blogger :)

In my experience blogger is for anyone who wants everything set up already basically fill in the blanks and you have a blog but you are limited as to what you want to do with your blog as far as changing the internal structure of the blog to make it more search engine friendly, unless of course they have changed in the past couple of months.
Wordpress with paid hosting has a lot of options to make it very unique with so many themes and layouts and as well as plugins to customize the internal structure as well, for a newbie it would be somewhat difficult I think but once you get the hang of it it's easy.

    My two cents

First, He is talking about WordPress.com. Not wordpress.org

I have used blogger and wordpress.com, but i didn't really know or notice the big difference, except i seen blogger blogs have adsense or affiliate links and in wordpress.com, they don't.

I think what people mean is that they prefer self hosted Wordpress, not Wordpress.com. Most experienced, serious bloggers prefer to host their own website/blog and self hosted Wordpress is the most popular platform for self publishers, and businesses...they don't use free blog services like Blogger or Wordpress.com.

There are a lot of benefits including complete control over the look and functions, editing files, customization, no T.O.S. to follow, and actual ownership.
