Hi DP members, I recently came across a real estate website with the extension as .tl ... What does .tl stand for? I am hoping that they are authentic cause they were proposing some business. Any advise would be highly appreciated. Thank you.
.tl is the domain extension used in East Timor (Timor-Leste). Doesn't mean they are located in East Timor though since anyone can register them. Depends on the site, and the circumstances in which they were offering you business.
It means they are trying to target East Timor and are probably located there by the sounds of it. Jack
It means you are too freaking lazy to just search ".tl" in google and instead waste everyone's time with this post. Seriously, how is making a post easier than just fucking searching google? It is times like this that I miss negative rep.
Thank you Jack. Thank you blueparukia I am an Internet Marketeer and know what it means to "Search". Obviously I did search for it, but perhaps did not get the desired result, hence asked and I am thankful I got replies. Mind your dirty language "browntwn" or whoever you are. I am not here to hear your foulmouth. If you thought you wasted your time reading this, then you wasted MORE TIME writing a crappy reply.
I get your point. At that time, I did the search and was kind of confused, wondering why somebody who has a domain from East Timor would say he is from X. I was hitting the wrong search patterns.
Hey, I am not trying to get on your case. After I had read your original post I took the time to look it up for you and was surprised that the answer was just right there in front of me. I guess I was a little annoyed, at the time, that it appeared you had not even bothered to look. Anyway, time to move on.
Well, I should have looked a bit more while searching. Guess I did not. Moreover, the guys (whose domain had that .tl in it) were sending wrong info, total confusion while searching for such a simple thing. I am done with them anyway. Won't try furthermore for prospecting with them. Yes, time to move on.
I did not realise that then (like I thought no domains could ever have a .tl or .pl, overall, was confused - but well, its this post that made me realise my mistake. Gotta find out what does .pl stand for...that's new to me now
