what extension is best .com .org .net .biz?

hello,
i want to build a website and the extension for the domain i want are all taken ... only .org and .biz are free.
i heard that this extension are not very good for SEO.
Do you know is this is true?is the extension so important?

i don't think it makes such a big difference but .com may get a small bonus in rankings.

i remember a guy did a test to see if google ranks better .com than .info and it did.

not sure about the other extensions.

 

as far as I know .com is better, but the problem is that i do not find it free for the name I want and i read somewhere that .org is only for non guvernamental organization, and not for an online-store...

Overall, Domain name is still pretty important from the SEO perspective. Even though each search engine ranks the importance of domain names differently.
.com is a must have because it is the default everyone tries first if they don't know the extension.

my site is not for international use...so the default will be .ro, as the site is for Romania. but .ro and .com and .net the extension for comercial purpose are not free.
so is more important the name of the domain of the extension? because is the name is more important, i can take .org

 

well I think that it's equal for the SEO.
But people remember more .com than .net

 

well i say that the decending order for importance of these extentions is
.com>.net>.org>
well
.gov>.org>.edu are of higher trust for search engines

I think .com is the best and then .net or .org can come in the list.

 

the problem is that my future site is and online-store is in romanian language, i've read somewhere that if you choose .com .net and .org is better to have an english version.
i try to find some sites in top 10 for some keywords, and very few .org are in top 10

 

If your target audience is a particular country then you should use a country specific domain. The international domains are for where you expect an international audience and there is nothing worse than having millions of people telling everyone they know that your site is garbage when it doesn't work properly for people in their country.

 

I would have to agree with this. I had some .biz sites and I got no love from Google. Switched to .coms and now all is good.

 

.com is one good choice for your extension. I would prefer english version because I want a large market but large competition though.

As far as search engines go..no one beats the other..they are all fair game and hold the same value..as for ease of remember, probably .com there
