What explains a PR4 site that form time to time (suddenly) can't be found?

If you were visiting a PR4 site everyday for a year and all was well but then - half the time - you got a "site cannot be found" error message, what would you conclude the problem was?

I'm hoping it is maintenance but can't understand why this hasn't been announced. Could it be under attack from hackers? Uploading to the site (when it is working) is taking an eon too. I've much invested with the site and would appreciate any feedback.

(I thought the adsense site was being a bit slow and problematic too a few days ago - anyone else?)

Could be that their web host provider sucks. I had a provider that would go down 2 or 3 days at a time, didn't take long for me to switch LOL>

There could be a number of reasons

    -Sites moving server
    -Servers down
    -Been hacked
    -Been sold
    -Been closed down

Why dont you contact the webmaster instead of speculating?

The first thing I do is try to translate the site from Spanish to English using Google Translate.
If Google Translate returns a page I confirm using a proxy such as hidemyass.

If both sites return a page I assume there's a DNS bubble somewhere between the site and I and try again a few hours to a day later.
