I'm not quite sure what a sandbox is? If you could explain it to me a little better it'd be much appreciated.
Not being able to rank a new(er) site for mildly competitive to highly competitive terms when all other known indicators show that it should rank.
It really depends on the context, the term - online - originally meant a test environment, but was coined for the effects google has on newer sites.
