I've seen the program RSStoBlog.com so many times, most people praise it, although the price of $247 is nuts...they do have a $147 version with no future upgrades. I went to their website but they do not give a straight forward answer. Maybe because its obvious and I just don't get it. Does the program convert other peoples RSS feeds into their own blogs and then it posts is to their websites? And doing so you insert your own links into the blog? Anyone ever use the program with success?
I haven't used ity myself but it appears to be a program that takes rss feeds and publishes them to a (your) blog. You get an automatically updated blog...which you could add links to I suppose. Downside is none of it's original content. I could be off...I didn't spend an enormous amount of time looking it over.
For 247 usd? Thats totally nuts. Anyone with a clue and two sticks can code that in five minutes.. christ.. kids these days..
I took it for a test spin for a few days but got my money back. Not sure how effective it would be from SEO standpoint, but seemed a little spammy to include with content that I put real work into. Might work for some though. My take on this type of thing is that if it looks like it might have value, the site doesn't look too sleazy and there's a good money-back guarantee, I'll take a chance. 80% of the time (4 out of 5), I end up asking for my money back. So far the I've always gotten a prompt refund. In the worst case, I figure the risk is pretty low since I pay with a credit card and can always contest the charge if the vendor doesn't honor the money-back promise.
sagetips, you know you could probably make a popular site or page just reviewing these non-free scripts and tools. I bet a lot of others would be very interested in the results without having to buy it and try it.
