the way i see it, it only works two ways: either you submit them for your clients, or you don't. there's no in-between.

so what sets apart all those services offered by people who have positive feedbacks? why the different prices?

a matter of trust i guess. Since it is really hard to trace if the guy did his job. He might sell a 100 submission plan but only submit to 80 of them

Different price? It depends on how low that guy can go..

for me 20 buck is nothing..but for some people it is like a day's wage

I don't know; quality and price are two different factors of a product.
    Perhaps it means "manual".

I'm sure a very quality service / not equals good service in my book ..

And it's a mather of seeing the mail and links pop

I can't understant this people like 1000 submissions for 50$ (first there aren't 1000 free general directorys out there, second 50 for a work done manual is fishy very fishy)

Quality service means Standard Service. Let me explain it, quality means exactly what your client wants from you. Well its Market and there are competitors and they offer different prices to compete each other.

Also I would like to say to w3bmaster that there are more then 1000 general free directories out here. But yeah $50 seems very fishy if you go for manual submission. There is a software I forgot the name, that helps submitting fast. I think thats website submitter. Guys now-a-days are using that to work fastly.

First , there is more than a 1000 general free directories and they
use software to submit your website to these directories. They still have
to enter sum details on each directory like spamm protection codes. So, that
still makes it manual work and does take-up some time

$50 is a bit much only because there is people on this forum
that could do this for $35 and they provide you with a report

I will rather spend my money on a service like because it will generate
hundreds of backlinks to my website which one day may get PR and boost
    my Ranking
