I have seen few people requesting e-gold against paypal and they were even ready to give some commission for that. I do understand that most of that must be scam. But even if 5% is true, I wonder why do they need egold for?

I've seen people seeing egold as being better than PayPal.. and in some cases paypal is not accepted on some websites..

Theres plenty of "paypal sucks" sites out there.. just google it.

Maybe the people that have had problems with PayPal are just using egold as an alternative?

E-gold has many 'features' over paypal.

It doesn't take much to register an account, no real verification involved. As far as I remember you can't chargeback with E-gold also. Not to mention the big thing is the value of your account is dependent on the value of gold.

There have been a few payment systems that have bitten the dust.

I do know of the payment system that your referring to but, I cannot remember who it was at the moment. If memory serves me correctly then it was due to misappropriation of funds. It seems that a lot of payment processors cannot remember that the money in their accounts belong to some one else.

    Well said!!!
If they would have been remembering, then there wouldn't have been any frauds.
