I keep on hearing a lot of info-product gurus talk about join ventures but could never quite figure exactly what it was. Is that some sort of partnership with another company? Please give me a good example.
A joint venture is two or more businesses and/or individuals coming together to share expertise on a project. I'm currently in a joint venture, well, actually ours is a full partnership, with an SEO expert. I'm managing content editing and development for a huge content site and he is building and optimizing the site as we go along. Eventually we'll do something very profitable with the site other than the simple ways its monetized now. A JV can be almost anything where you work with someone else on a moneymaking project or scheme. Rebecca
Hi Greg & All - I used a Google "define" search to see what definitions of Joint Venture are out there: http://www.google.com/search?q=defi...s=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a Looks like usually, the joint venture is between two businesses, or business people on one shared project -- share the work, share the profit. A Joint Venture is more then a form of cooperation, it's a relationship you get yourself into. This can be a legal form of relation, but also a 'lose' one where no contracts are involved. For projects containing several thousands of dollars I advice you to contact an attorney and have everything dealt with legally. This protects both parties financially. -Dave
