What exactly are setup-and-forget sites?

    As the title says...what exactly are they and does anyone have any examples?
    I realise there must be a few different types like affiliate and adsense etc.

    Mostly sites that use something like RSS feeds to auto update the site, with little to no maintenance by the owner.
