One of the most disturbing aspects of click fraud activity is that it is not uniform across advertisers - fraudulent clicks occur with varying frequency across verticals, keywords, and bid prices - with increasing evidence that the higher the bid price, the more rampant the click fraud. Not all advertisers are affected equally.

I have learned the hard way as well. In fact I trusted them for quite some time since I was generating some revenue through them before.

I made another deposit through my cc and checked my stats about 1 hour later. I noticed that I had 50 hits coming from just one IP every few seconds, and of course 0 page views. REDICULOUS!

I made screenshots of my stats for three suspicious IP addresses (there were many more though) and e-mailed them to GoClick support. The day after I received an e-mail that they didn't see any activity in my account and that I should e-mail them back if it remained the same.

Of course the next day I e-mailed them again, and I also asked for a refund of the remaining funds. You can guess what happened since then... totally NOTHING! They simply ignore me now.

I know I lost my last 75 bucks, so no big deal. This is just a warning, and if you still think they're cool. Do a search on Google!

    Peace,

    Giorgio

PS: Can these kind of fraudulous companies be suit???

Goclick.com is a scam. I used them before.

Either that or they do little to prevent click fraud.

It saddens me that PPC companies do this because it puts a big damper on the entire industry. PPC companies should implement at least a minimal level of click fraud. When will they learn? Having no click fraud detection/prevention may result in some high revenues for a litle while (short term) but in the long term they won't survive and people will learn not to trust them.

It just doesnt make business sense.

In that example with muleiple clicks fromthe same IP address every few seconds, what they need to do is count that as ONE click. They need to do things like restrict multiple clicks from the same IP address in a given period (24 hours for example).

Theres lots they can do but obviously they just dont care.

When you said that you looked at the IP addresses for GoClick, did you record these on your landing page? Because I don't see in their reports how you would look at that. Also, they claim that for each IP address they only record one click.

I tried GoClick the last few days and saw a huge volume of clicks and no sales. I'm wondering is this is paid-to-click instead. I could see where they could tell someone to click away and the clicker would get half of the take and it would probably generate a decent return on investment for them and a big scam for me. Sigh. Think I've been schnookered. Well the credit card is NOT on autopay, when the $ runs out if no sales trickle in, then I'm going to bag it. Wish I'd read this before I bothered setting up the ads.

PPC has always worried me and I've never tried it -- just one more reason not to.

At least it was only $75..!!

From what i learned scam work like this:

    01. they pay someone to get as many as traffic.
    02. they pay someone to vote (good vote)
    03. they pay someone to post in any forum (of course good thing about the program)

    result:
    01. real investor got nothing-money gone

I have had decent results with goclick in the past. If I bid too much, then my daily budget dissappears quickly, and the results are not good. But bidding small amounts has given me some positive ROI. The main problem is that the traffic is usually low, and anything I do to raise the volume lowers the quality. I had a large list of keywords that were relevant and got me good traffic, then goclick froze my account and told me to thin the list ... they have different ideas of what is a relevant keyword. After that, I let my account cool and didn't do much for a while. When I did reactivate, the traffic was not so good - smart pricing at Goog dropped my average click from 10-20 cents to 1 cent. Goclick is worth considering, but needs tinkering with, and like Adsense, is hard to predict.

Very interesting. Some people are making money from it and many are losing money. It sounds like anything else... the 80 - 20 rule... 20% will do well and 80% won't. Maybe it's not a scam and it just depends on whether you use it properly or not. It's interesting getting feedback like this. I've never used GoClick but I think I'll check it out. Maybe I can figure out how to use it.

:mad:Yes I have to agree goClick www.goclick.com is a big scam I have a number of sites with AdSense on them and I setup a new sub-domain specifically for dating Made For AdSense (MFA) as they claim the following search results below
    ________________________________________________
    Search Past:
Keyword 7 days 30 days Clicks Average Bid Price

    dating 80900 339780 29447 0.064252
    _________________________________________________

Here is the idea as some of you already know, buy something cheap then sell it for a profit in this case clicks, as referred by Dr Patrick Hillenbrand http://www.adsensedecoded.com self proclaimed expert on AdSense, on his video the first site he mentions to buy clicks from is goClick obviously the good DR did not do his research and I give him a great big F (Fail) on this assignment as he is giving people advise on how to loose money.

My average Page CTR is about 20.00% on my other sites with my dating site that is Made For AdSense (MFA) I got less then 2% CTR keep in mind that this site was only promoted thru goClick

Here is the report from goClick
Keyword Clicks Cost Avg CPC Avg Position
    dating 205 $7.87 0.038 3.7

Good thing I only deposited $10 in my account to try them out.
205 visits 2 click please thats an insult to a baboons intelligent let alone to human.

    Conclusion:eek:
I think the clicks from goClick are not real people but spiders.

Do your home work before you part with a single cent..
For example a search on Google
    http://au.search.yahoo.com/search?ei=ISO-8859-1&fr=sfp&p=GoClick+what+a+scam&rd=r1

Could have saved me 10 Bucks

If people don't make money with goclick, does that necessarily mean it's a scam? How many people have made money with adwords or overture? So adwords and overture must also be scams, going by this logic. As to click fraud, even google has been accused of it. Miva is by far the worst, IMO.
