What else do i need to do to be #1

I have a website http://howtobuycomputer.net

I'm aiming for a term "How to buy computer"(now i am at 9th place), i've done backlinking, my domain name if perfect, i've got the term in title of the website, keyword density is perfect for that search term.

What else can i do?

 

You're doing a good job of using DigitalPoint to promote your stories, you may want to write some good articles on the site, and then start promoting them on DP as well. Quality content will always be easier to promote than just poorly written garbage.

Start registering for more forums, and contributing, and you'll find your backlinks increasing as you grow out your profile and such.

if there are a number of sites above you that have been their longer that may effect you but I would just keep promoting the site in as many ways as possible, artciles are a great way to do that,

You should get more videos posted on your site,
write more quality articles,
but make sure that you do not get too many links in a short period of time otherwise you will get in google's sandbox... which will take a long time to get out of..

 

You can promote your site, like article post, social media, link building.

 

I recommend doing article submissions, press release submissions, directory submissions, blog commenting, forum signatures, etc.

Just keep consistently building links and you should gradually move up in the rankings.

You may also need to find some creative ways to get some high quality links. Try examining the backlinks of all the websites ranking above you. That is usually a great way of finding new link opportunities.

 

When you build backlinks, use the anchor test "how to buy computer"

It wont take you long to move above the fold, i promise

 

@Buckyuk, What kind of backlinks will help?? directory links, social media links, article links or blogs links??

 

if you could acquire links from .gov and .edu, much better.

 

Also look for some computer related forums to get backlinks from them. Link exchange will be also great help.

 

Add more relevant comment to your site and improve your link structure, optimize each page and try to raise your page rank and get inbound links and then wait....

 

actually your title is long

a good point to reduce it and target your keywords

 

I recommend that you keep link building through forum post and composing some good articles and submitting them at like at least 15 different article directories that have high PR. Also start blogging and squidooing if you have not.

means Title, Keyword & Description.
and After Work in Off Page Optimization for your targeted keywords.

 

write some good quality article and promote them as well as PR also.
