I own the site http://www.gamingfonts.com On several of the other gaming related sites I own I link to this site and the alt is just gamingfonts.com. Should I change this to video game fonts or something else? Does this matter at all for search engine results? What else can I do to increase my ranking? On google if i search for: "video game fonts" I'm the last one on the page "game fonts" second to last on page "gaming fonts" I'm number 2 How can I increase my ranking for the first two results? Are those even good keywords? Thanks, I've been around this site for a little while but haven't asked for too much help (except about some various affiliate programs). But I'm basically just trying to learn more so that I can make more on my sites and in turn reinvest that money etc. Any tips would be gladly appreciated.
in a nutshell... add more content, and get more links.. If you want to check whether your keywords are worthwhile, use the DP keyword suggestion tool.
I would also suggest back links to this site using the keyword(s) you want to rank high in. Want to rank higher with "gaming fonts", get back links (lots) with that as your anchor text.
So that does help? Interesting. I'll make those changes soon. And I'll check out that keyword tool as well too.
Ok, so I used the keyword tracker tool lol... and there are like 10 a day and less for the various keywords. lol... I thought there'd be more than that. So after changing my alt tags, that's about all I can do then eh?
Use your targeted keyword as your anchor text and get more quality backlinks using those anchor text.
Try to get some natural links, spread the word of your site to gaming forums where people will be interested in the fonts.
Ok, so it sounds like I'm already doing a decent job (I've affiliated with a few other gaming sites and have it in my sig on the gaming forums I frequent). The main thing I need to change then is the alt text for the links. Are there any other ideas? Thanks again
have you try to different directories submission or classified ads? actually a lot more. place your keyword on that ads or directories it will your keyword to boost on the search engine. just what you see on this trend..thanks
Improve your contents with your targeted keywords but avoid keyword stuffing...and improve your link popularity...use your targeted keywords as you anchor text and that might help you rank better on a certain keyword or phrase...
as u r ranking second for that alt tag dont change links but try to get more revelant backlinks for your keywords with optimized content.

Submit your link at social bookmarking. Comment to those dofollow blogs/forums and remember to put your URL.
