Another one that looks good that I just finished checking out was pinnacle cart. Right now I'm using bigcommerce (interspire) if I don't end up sticking with BC after my trial is over, then this would be the cart I'd check out next. Zeke
I agree with izzy, opencart is very simple to use and gives you no hassle whatsoever. It looks much better than zencart sites and is way easier to use. Also it would be much easier to use and buy products for your customers because of the simplicity of opencart
Magento all the way..... If you are looking for the best ecommerce platform then Magento is your answer, I've installed and used all platforms mentioned and found the best to be the Magento. You will need to figure out how to deal with the platform, but once you pass this stage you will be glad you've used it. What version did you use, the 1.4.1 is faster and as you know depending on your webhost and the speed your server is handling certain queries.....
If you are serious about ecommerce, do not use a free solution - use a paid service, Interspire is a good product, but support and communication is awful. Magento Enterprise...fantastic piece of kit, excellent support, but a hefty price tag.
Open Cart is simple to use and very good, very nice admin panel to manage products. well.. no ecommerce needs coding skills. if u want to use default theme. but if you need to customize theme.. you need to hire professionals to give you look and feel. Cheers. Anwar http://www.looogo-web.com/
I would say Pinnacle cart or Interspire (Both quite good out of the box - only thing is with interspire depending on which version they limit the number of products)
If you are looking for some paid one then there are several different good options. I prefer you only paid ones, free scripts always fails to do our requirements.

I've been the admin of a company's OsCommerce online shop during two years, and helped maintaining it two more years, and, at least : NOT OSCOMMERCE ! It requires heavy modding to become something not looking like it's been created around 1995. Besides, my company also sold lingerie, you will HAVE to heavily mod it to maintain a collection of clothes with various combinations of sizes and models for a single item. However, OsCommerce still has the glow of being solid, sturdy, and reliable. For that reason, me, I'd recommend Creloaded and all the creloaded-type branched off projects. They all come already bundled with the options required to manage complex sub-options inside a single item, for selling and stocks management. If you need a solid connexion with a local accounting or customer management solution, then it's another problem, for this you should avoid any recent - even popular - "recently branched off" projects, compatibility will be an issue. Lastly : to be honest, if you think big and you're serious about it, there's no shame in trusting a third-company ecommerce offer, a website going to handle a magenta, a creloaded, or something else, for you. You rake off 50€/75$ per month, but at least you're sure you won't spend hours and hours and hours aaaand houuuurs desperately trying to understand why your shop's broken. If you're alien to PHP editing, frankly, pay off and spend your time and energy in generating sales instead of in poor tech management.
