    Hi,

You need to have what is known as an opt-in box.

When you set up an account with an autoresponder service they will give you the html code to add to your webpage.

Once added, you will see a box with entries for email address, name and a submit button.

You can try both setting up a subscribe button as customers can go back to your page.Autoresponder is also a good option in acknowledging a click and possible becoming a unique visitor.

you need a squeeze page, an autoresponder to follow through your messages, the reasons why the visitor want to subscribe to your email list. (e.g give them away a free software related to your site topics. For instance before you can download Itunes from Apple.com, you need to fill up your email address and name in a form. Normally they will check the newsletter subscription box by default as well) I think it is a perfect example on how email marketing works...

you need to sign up with autoresponder company or use your own scripts to manage a opt in form which build a subscribers list. You also need to give people reason to opt in to your form, such as a free report.

And don't forget the newsletter or at least several different follow-up messages in order to build trust with your visitors or potential customers and make them come back to your site over and over again (and by the way, buy more products from you).
