What don't U like about MSN Search

Actually if u ask me, MSN Search is doing quite well.

You search on something and it gives decent results.

The thing which gets me is that color scheme on the live homepage and that tahoma or whatever font and colors when u search something on it.

I mean Google's homepage is bright, alive, vibrant.

Live's homepage is kinda dull in that aqua turquoise blue.

Same goes for the search results page.

Google & Yahoo uses a nice deep shade of blue with a readable font.

Live uses sort of a sea blue with a font that kinda gets my eyes.


I wish they would do something about it, if not, have some kinda preferences where u could change these things on their search.

 

I think msn is ok too. The results arent bad and they aren't using crazy penalties like google are at the moment but i just prefer the clean look of google. Though with their messing around i'm beginning to lose faith.

 

I personally didn't like msn search.
I tried it a few times and the results were not as good as google.

 

Their design is ok but their search results could have been better.

 

Microsoft recently has bragged about how their search traffic and market share is going up, claiming as much as a 3% share gain in a month. Impressive gains for a dog of a product? No, just a complete marketing scam. A bunch of new search traffic is garbage.

Webmasters like Google because they get most of the traffic from there.
MSN just need a better promotion in my opinion.

 

I don't like the results pages. They seem too cluttered for me. Plus, all my main services are on Google and I'm used to it's interface.

It looks awesome.

And the search is like 20 times faster then what it used to be.

Now if they could only get around to giving that search results page a little face lift I think they got some good competition to Google.

Believe it or not, I get alot of traffic from MSN. Not as much as Google, but people use Google much more then MSN.

But I use MSN Search quite a bit and now that they get that new sleek look, I'm gonna use it more.

 

Live Search looks cheap - I think that's their main problem. If they could simplify the layout, and use a font that didn't look so icky, I believe a greater number of people would use Live Search. Also, perception is a big deal - folks perceive Google as being better, when in reality (especially over the past few months) that is becoming questionable.

 

It does look cheap... they need a better format... some margins and a different color scheme.

 

First time I tried msn search was back on 2001 and didnt like it but I tried it a week ago and it's pretty much the same.

 

i dont know why i started loving live search its pretty much faster and the results are decent and much more relevant

 

They have font and color options on the home page of msn.com .. id like to see the same options on the search pages.. although im happy with how it is now.. i get 90% of my traffic from msn search..
