What domain name sounds and looks better?

sure, go for diablodirectory.com.
the general public (besides dp members) do not associate "dir" with web directory.

 

I think that www.diablodir.com is best but why you ask here what domain name is best, somebody could see that and buy that domain names before you. Do not do that kind of things in public it is simple not good for you.

 

DiabloDir.com seems to be a better and smaller fit.

 

I registered all the domains before asking off course they are all redirects to the main site www.diablodirectory.com only wondering what would be best for marketing.

As its been said - I think it sounds better than the abbreviated "dir", and is better for search engines. Its only slightly longer and doesn't make the domain name excessively long.

LOLOL yes, more devil editing oriented with cool and different sites, more targeted to open minded adults. Just trying to make something different from the boring family friendly sites, but keeping it suitable for anyone above 15.

Also trying to keep it small and all listings will be 1-click from homepage, so great SEO value.
