What domain extension to choose - .com .org .info or .net?

    I'm looking up some extensions to register for my sites and I was wondering what extension is best to register. I think the top choice would be the .com but are the other extensions also valuable? Or is it best to look for a good .com extension?

    Domain extensions depends upon the nature of your site and the audience you are targeting. Though .com is more preferred in general, It may not be apt in many situations. You need to provide more details about your sites if you want to get quality advice from here.

    .com is preferred but i have had success with all popular extensions (.com / .net / .org / .info) it shouldn't matter too much if you can't get the .com

    I'd always go for the .com in the first instance- ideally register all the main extensions and redirect to others to the .com.

    .com is preferred ( just because when you tell someone the name, they automatically append .com to it)

    otherwise any extention is ok.

    .com is the most popular and preferred extensions as people usually assume .com in case you just simply tell them your sitename or forget to mention the extension. But still you should not ignore the other extensions if they are available for a descent name.

    Definitely .com. The reason behind this people are very familiar with .com domains now days. For example if you tell your friend only the domain name like "xyz" he will surly go for "xyz.com" at first.

    .com is a general purpose domain name extension .
    you know , your website's name is the most important things for your business.the easier your website name is to remember, the higher the likelihood.
    We have different domain extensions that are used according to website nature.
    .com- used for commercial websites.
    .edu     – Educational websites use this extension.
    .gov – Government run websites use this extension.
    .org – Non-profit organizations generally use this extension.
