What does 'ZEE' mean in Hindi?

    We got bored so decided to watch the indian channels on sky and quite a few are called things like...

    zee cinema
    zee music

    so just wondered if that means the?

    i don't think it means anything its just the name of one of the leading media houses in India!
    so they have various channels like Zee cinema, Zee movies, Zee tv.... loads of them actually...

    Subhash Chandra, the owner of ZEE group probably wanted his channels to be the last name in entertainment, just like the letter 'Z' in the alphabets.

    Hence, the name ZEE. There is nothing more to it than just being a brand name.

    There is not proper meaning of ZEE. It's just a Brand Name.

    Zee is from the English letter 'Z'. It does not have a Hindi meaning. :)
