Mine gives the user the ability to submit to more than one category at a time http://www.cantufind.com/forum/showthread.php?t=678 which is something that tons of people used to ask me before but I couldn't as the script I was using wouldn't let me.

Oh, users can also add as many deeplinks as they want including the ability to create multiple strategic linking with partner sites, offer multiple payment methods, a static page and more per submission, the list goes on.

The only thing I dont have at the min is a frog as a mascot. :D

    Nice logo btw blogmaster.

yawn.... the fourth mention of this fabulous multi-category submission thing, no offence friend but if you are basing the uniqueness and sucess of your directory on that one feature you are in for an unhappy ending. Plus the thread specifically said "not webmasters", so I seriously doubt the other folks that happen by your directory will be very excited about that feature.

well not quite sure yet what my new real estate directory will have to offer, but I have some ideas. And unlike the many general directories I have, I will invest in it. I think that I will take a lot of feedback from general users once it fill up and gets rankings and visitors looking for homes and houses. Other than that, my directories don't really serve a purpose, other than the blog which is hosted on the same domain name as my frog engine directory which I am starting to like and paying more attention to now that a good friend of mine has created a new logo for it out of the blue. :)

will be soon launching an "mp3 search engine".
I don't host any of the mp3, just looking for them in the web so I guess nothing illegal.

Hey the question is asked in a wrong fashion, it should be what do you expect from a directory not " what does your director offer" cause directories are not run for ur gains, its for end users, hence mine offers end-users what they come for " simplicity, easiness of submission, less waste of time, and ofcourse a free backlink "

I do not think of what my directory offers to others, i think like what do webmasters look for in a directory, firstmost thing is design for few, for some easiness of submission, and maybe few rich folks think about features they get in return.

No use showing all those fancy things and using mods to submit to bla bla and more bla bla category at once, show how many pr 4 , pr5 sites are listed(come on what use is it to anyone, just scares few users away whose sites are new and with like pr0 cause they fear they will waste their time submitting as it will never get approved cause of poor pr and they move on to next one). And lots of other usless mods and are there for all fanciness and showoff. Like how many backlinks a site is.. Come on do you think users come to ur directory to search for sites and look at Details pages??... hello.... wake up there is google for that faster and better. Only seo's come to directories these days, so unless ur targetting them yaa, go ahead put as many mods u want to please afew and put some weight in ur pocket....

For me its not about mods and all the showoff stuff. Just like to keep it simple and easy to use.

    Cheers

A Unique Directory Idea (Four Main Categories to "Find" Your Niche Sites), Deep Links, Custom Detail Pages, The Highest Editorial Standards, and of course It's own Brand.

Thanks for feedback but the question was mine, not yours, I think I know better what I wanted to ask. You clearly answered the wrong question here, a question I specifically asked not to answer.

To summarize your post, your directory has nothing unique to offer for end users because only webmasters visit it?

Honestly, a few years from now most of you will laugh at your own statements. Many directories here will become known to end users, but most won't. And you guys will look back at this time and say "Dang, I cannot believe I made money with something as useless as I used to run." ;)

yep. very nice idea on categorization there, but what about something more unique. for example, i haven't seen a user poll on any phpld directory...

one of the cool unique features i've seen so far is Forplex's http://www.forplex.com/directory-owners-index.html directory owners page. I like that you can add your logo/banner.
