That's the funniest joke I have EVER heard, EVER!

    @ Thread Starter

Yahoo follows a completely different algorithm than Google. Also, Google displays results according to the PageRank, but Yahoo does not, so as reapr said, focus on content, build an authority, natural backlinks will come your way, and that ranking will be permanent :)

    Good Luck

to people who say yahoo is dying... i would love you to explain why 40% of my sales are from yahoo when i spend more on adwords, and im ranked higher in google for my keywords?

Yahoo is not dying. maybe slowing down a bit but honestly i think it is genre specific..

For example, most people searching for a specific type or ram or motherboard for their computers are going to use google. Googles more relevant and we all know this. but ask my mother who spends around $1,000 a year purchasing stuff on the internet for birthdays, hollidays etc. she will use whatever search engine the computers home page it set to.. To her the only difference between google and yahoo is the spelling...

If Yahoo were dying, then their stock prices would be $1 a share. :)

Yahoo is far from death and telling Microsoft to shove it is proof of that.

Yahoo isn't dying. Clearly their search tech is lagging behind Google, but so is everyone else. That's not exactly news.
