What does website loading time has to do with SEO?

Page load time is something that has recently become the subject of alot of discussions. Basically it's part of the ranking procress but (according to Google) doesn't have a significant amount of relevance but should always be considered.
I think that page load time is something that a website should always have a concious for because a slow load time can inflate bounce rates and reduce conversions, so although has little in terms of SEO weighting (currently) it's still quite important for a site to be as fast as possible and follow best practises.

    Hi,

It is really right that having an excellent page loading time would be really helpful in increasing the degree of satisfaction of our customers. Google has also released an add-on to be used with FireBug add-on for Firefox named "Page Speed". :)

    all the best,

Crawlers have a set duration to fetch a homepage and links on it if that amounts to frequent timeouts i suspect it triggers some bad impression based on the 400+ odd Google ranking factors.

Slow loading pages nervous users and often they are leave that websites before are full loading.
Google ranking slow sites lower from same reason.
If you thinking seriusly about make business on your website then you need fast hosting or dedicated server, depending from traffic.

My sites on US dedicated server are ranking higher then my other sites on shared hosting in czech republic, maybe because they load faster for US people.. but that just a guess..

i think the page speed will effect the site search engine rank.coz it will lead a high visitor bounce rate and make visitor boring, before use the hosting server,i think it is better to have a test.
