What does Unavailable mean?

    Hi there,

there's this domain I want to register. It's just expired a week ago at Godaddy and I'm waiting for it be released. Normally, there the Backorder option but for some reason, this one has a big red cross and says unavailable at godaddy. Has anyone seen that before?

Does this mean that someone else has already backordered it?

    Thanks!
    Jerry

Probably it has not been released yet as after a name expires, it goes through a few different stages before being released. That is, being that someone hasn't backordered it through the dropcatchers

Just 12 days after the OP already said GoDaddy support had been contacted and even displayed the response. Good work.
