I'm looking at the affiliate restrictions and it says: Incentive traffic: Not allowed Does this mean I can't advertise the sites using words like: "get a free item if you do this!" etc? oh, aand while I'm at it, what does EPC stand for when I look at the affiliate offers?
You cannot offer your visitors/users any incentive to signup. They must signup because they want what is in that campaign not because you promiss them something else besides what that campaign is offering them or because you ask them to use that offer But there are enough incentive-friendly campaigns you can use if you need them (Maxbounty and Clickbooth are 2 networks that have a lot of good campaigns for incentives sites)
theres an affiliate that gives out ipod nano's(at least that's what they advertise). My affiliate site is promoted like... "free ipod nano info" then "Get it Here FREE!" is that incentive?
No, because your visitors will get everything from your advertised campaign and nothing else from you. If the campaign is about a free ipod of course you can tel your visitors that they can get a free ipod from your sponsor (but if you offer something else if they signup - like points, free membership or other products than this means you can only use incentive-ok offers)
