    it means dont submit yoursite.com/somefolder and this isnt really the place to ask...

    I understand from this:

    sub.domain.com is ok

    domain.com/sub/index.html not ok.

    This is the best place to ask because people who make dir offers post here, and a high percentage of them has this vague requirement.

    this place is where directory owners post their directories, not ask questions (asking questions would be the Directories forum, this is in the Solicitations & Announcements).
