What does this mean? No bidding on trademarked brand names.?

    Hi, I was just wondering what it means if an affiliate site says "search restrictions: No bidding on trademarked brand names."

    Does it mean, I can't have any words on like the brand sony on my site at all, or what?

    If you're doing PPC marketing (eg Adwords), you can't bid on the advertiser's brand names, as your keywords.

    This summed it up very well, there are also keywords and words in the ad that are protected..
