What does rank 1+2 mean?

I was trying out the Digital Point Keyword Tracking tool today and I found that one of my blogs ranks 1+2 for my keyword combination.

Can anyone tell me what that means?

Your site ranks #1 and #2 for the term.
Say a page within your site is www.sellsoftware . com/sell-software.html
That may come up #1 and www.sellsoftware . com as #2..

I cant explain any better but an expert here may be able to assist further..

It doesn't always mean that your site ranks 1 and 2 for that keyword, rather if you have two pages that rank within the top 10 then google will place them together whether they rank 1 and 2, or 2 and 5, etc.

Additionally, if you switch google results to 100 say, if you have 2 sites in the top 100 they will appear together regardless of the rankings, as described above.
