What does parasite tool bars and stolen sales on CJ mean

I am new to CJ, and even though I am getting about 170 to 200 clicks a day, I have only made one sale.

I keep reading posts that say somehow sales can be poached by parasite toolbars or CJ. What do them mean, and how would this work?

I'd appreciate any comments explaining this to me.

    Thanks.

In a nutshell: if someone has installed a shopping toolbar, coupon toolbar, phony charity toolbar, etc., they can visit your site, buy something from your link - but you wont get credit for the sale. Your affiliate ID is overwritten by the toolbar affiliates ID.

This does not just happen with CJ links by the way.

Fewer than 1% of people have toolbars installed, and CJ has gotten rid of most of the "parasite"-type software pubs. Most advertisers won't work with the shady ones. It's not affecting your commission, trust me. I used to work on the affiliate management end, and the toolbar affiliates did not have that many sales. Most sites are getting away from toolbars anyway; users are hesitant to install software.

Anti-Spyware programs will kill many more of your sales than toolbars, but people don't rant against them nearly as much.

Type (Spybot cj links) into google for an eyeopener.
