What does Page CTR mean? Is the higher the better or lower the better? Can someone please explain?

    Thanks

Simply CTR means Click Through Rate
That means how many clicks for impressions. Hope you got the idea.
Eg: If you have 1000 impressions and 34 click, then you have 3.4% CTR.

The higher the better, but not too high either. Keep it between 5 and 15%

Hi, i am new here and arrived here by searching the words "what does ctr mean?"
I saw the info in this thread and looked at my adsense cp and see that i have terrible ctr for my most visited site
    i have a blog which gets a 5% CTR
    below represents

channel name, Page impressions clicks ctr cpm earnings

    blogs-blackngreen 60 3 5.00% $39.69 $2.38

    and then my main site has this;

channel name Page impressions clicks ctr cpm earnings
    108NA 1,955 3 0.15% $0.21 $0.40

i really need to know how i can increase ctr for the 108 Na channel on that website as 2000 impressions in one day on one ad (i have up to 6 ads on that page this is only one ad stats).
I am thinking if i can get 5% on these ads then im making some half decent daily earnings.
Can anyone give me a few tips?
one thing i can say is that the blogs-blackngreen has not many posts whereas the 108 na has thousands of pages and many widgets and loads of stuff on the navi meni it is pretty cluttered.. is this affecting it? should i keep the page simple and less info?
Thanks for any eventual advice anyone may give me

You can't have 5% ctr on all ads on your page! We usually talk about page ctr, not a single ad!

yes i understand this of course.
But dont you think that a page with 1000 visitors a day minimum and up to 4000 p[age impressions a day should make more money than one dollar a day on all ads?
i do considering i have a small blog in another folder on the same site that makes me that with like 80 page impressions a day

you dug up a thread that's half a year old out of no where and posted this crap? You couldn't find better and more recent posts to post in?

and you are browsing a thread this old and post abuse? simpy because i didnt want to spam by posting another thread on the same topic
if old threads like this are not to be posted in, then why not prune them?
this would avoid people posting "crap" in them
but then imbeciles like you dont have anyhting better to contribute except try to make fun of others.
Your reply is ten times less useful to readers than my question
being abusive does not have any benefit to anyone.
I suppose its forgivable though you obviously have no brains or character.
besides this - it got your interest and you read it didn't you :p
What is it that you "do it yourself" in on your website?
Oh dont bother answering.. i can imagine what you have to "do yourself"
    it begins with "w"
Apart from that.. when an old post on my forums get revived i am glad. Better than an old dead thread.

wow i feel so insulted now, and if you were idiotic enough to read half my blog post's title but not the rest, then that makes you more retarded than ever. At least do some research before insulting me using my own blog post. Its DIY for a photo studio box. Yea you got no guts to say wet dreams? Or does W stand for some other word(s)? I really don't know what that word will be though in that case. But I certainly cannot make myself wet dreams it happens naturally. I'm guessing the word you had no guts to say starts with "o" which stands for orgasm, or were you thinking of "m" as in masturbation?

    I'm curious what's the "w" stand for?

No matter what someone is going to make a brand new thread with the same shit anyway. I say let the dead RIP and move on it's only a forum for god sake. Project Mobius has been here long enough to know what goes on people digging up outdated crap which is old news and no use to anyone.

It logically stands for wank, the slang word for masturbate.
