nofollow means when searchengine visit a site all the links on the page are not followed by search engine ,it keep indexing the same site donot go to visit other links on site,so it will index only internal links on site

    Regards

They mean the site that has the link on does not help the site it links to in search engine rank. They are useless for helping site get listed better in search engines.

sites like delicious, digg etc and blog comments all use no follow to stop spam

however, i think Yahoo and MSN Live search still use links with nofollow?

By the way, I noticed 2 variants of nofollow in the link. Some use nofollow and other no follow.
I wonder if the second variant is also correct and is taken into account by the major search engines.

Though, don't ignore the possibility that a user might click on your links.
NoFollow means "You, engines, don't follow further these links"
    NOT:
"You, people, don't click on them."

its means, your link for a certain site will not crawl because of no follow. Even your in PR 10 if theres a no follow robots will just pass your link!

The "NoFollow" is useless for SEO, because it prevents search engines to be index your site. For the SEO, you must leave the "NoFollow".

I thought I read somewhere that search engines sometimes follow the "nofollow" link but it doesn't pass PR... Is that right or am I making it up?

"No Follow" basically means that the search engine bots don't go down that link.

Although many people say that "no follow" is bad for SEO, I still post on popular sites such as YouTube & Yahoo Answers because their content is often rehashed on websites which allow dofollow links :)

Nofollow Links are is just ignored by Google as if the link does not exist on the page, It is used to control the PR passage withing the site and also preventing the link juice from flowing to the external links :)
