It takes a commitment, you cant expect it to be a fun pastime or thats what it will remain. You should think of it as your new job and take it that seriously. Not saying that it can't be fun but its also going to take hard work and dedication such as

Staying up all night working with you design, database or trying to desperately bring traffic in any way possible. The ironic thing is anyone can be successful at it but they arent willing to be patient and learn.

what are you thoughts on what it takes to be successful in SEO/Marketing? Do you think its

hard work?

right time right place?

right ideas/smarts?

It the combination of Hard Work and Right Ideas/Smarts, SEO is all about the fulfilling reqirements of both parties i.e: visitors and search engines...

advertising is not same thing as SEO

Vut money in seo makes difrences (if you have them you can buy links high pr and relevant and this makes the difrence)

I voted hard work becouse this is necesary in any domain

it takes some time, but once you do it, the results pay you over and over. All I did was follow Brad Callen's free course, (below) and now I'm living the life of my dreams. (true story)

to be very true 'hard work' is common for all options.

right place, is something that we all look foreword, but then it is more of a luck, if you did not find dp, then where would you be? this is the right place!!

other things matters, but then hardwork sure is the solution, for money etc!

The most fulfilling way is probably hard work and right tricks.

The easiest way, and perhaps the quickest is money. If your loaded with the $$$ then PR should come easily.
